The Dubai Metro network is comprised of two lines, the Red and Green, which together cover the majority of populated areas. The Dubai Metro Map below shows all the metro and tram stations that make up the full rail network, including those on the Red, Green, and Tram lines.

Dubai Metro Map

The green line of the Dubai Metro opened on 9 September 2011 after the red line opened on 9 September 2009. There were a few stations that didn’t open right away. Both the green and red lines were fully open by 1 March 2014, and the Expo 2020 extension opened in 2021.

Both the green and red lines are likely to be extended further in the future to add to the 18 green line stations and 35 red line stations currently in use. It is possible that other lines will open in the future as well. You can find up-to-date information on the news page.

According to the Dubai Metro Zones Map, the Dubai Metro is divided into four zones. Besides the buses and trams, there are 7 zones in total that cover other modes of public transportation.

The price of the journey is determined by the number of zones you travel through. There are tickets that cover all zones, such as a one-day pass.
